Q&A

Do you have a tutorial for interactive paper art?

Yep!  I have one mini-tutorial you can view here.

I also created an entire online course in interactive paper art through Domestika!  In the course I go into concept design, making prototypes, a little watercolor, spin wheels, pull tabs, and a final project with a pull tab and lift flap!  Domestika flew me to Madrid to shoot the course, and it was a wonderful experience.  Click the link to get the course or learn more!

I also teach in-person workshops occasionally through 310 Art at Re.Imagine Gallery in Fairview, NC.  Check the website for the schedule.

Can I commission your interactive art?

Yep!  I often love to create commissioned art, bringing new ideas to life in a unique and beautiful way.  Over many years I’ve developed my own style, drawing inspiration from the human form and elements of nature, and I’m often exploring new directions.  However, I only accept commissions that align with my art vision, allowing me to fully immerse myself to create something meaningful and unique.  What does that mean?  When I finish your art someone who knows my work would immediately recognize it as my art.  A couple examples: a painting of some giant army tanks or smiling dolphins jumping in front of a sunset… not my thing.  But, a woman intertwined with flora and/or fauna native to your area?  Yep, I’m game!

My payment schedule

25% non-refundable down payment.  This deposit serves as a commitment to secure your spot on my schedule and covers the initial stages of the work, such as concept designs.

25% 2 weeks prior to work, allowing me to buy supplies, and make all the needed preparations.

50% due upon completion of the final artwork.

This payment structure ensures that both parties are invested in the process and helps ensure a smooth and timely process to create your commissioned artwork.

Interactive Murals

Interactive murals are fantastic for public locations and businesses!  They attract people, engage them, and give an extremely unique and memorable experience.  They also encourage people sharing photos and videos on social media, attracting even more people.  They invite curiosity and inspire loyalty, making your place unforgettable.

Interactive murals start at $7,000.  A possibility for this would be a 4 foot by 4 foot piece with a spin wheel.  These are created to be indoor or outdoor works, and can easily be installed on most wall surfaces.  Depending on your location, shipping would be an additional fee.  I LOVE creating these interactive murals, and LOVE seeing people interact with them, sparking curiosity and joy!

Interactive Paper Art

In video format for:

-music video

-film end credits

-video ads (would need to be for something I would want to support, and would still align with my artistic style)

-possibilities are endless!

Each interactive piece can be made into a video or stop-motion animation that generally is 10-15 seconds.  Each piece takes a lot of time, with communications, multiple concept sketches, creating prototypes, the final work, and shooting the video.  Interactive paper art in video form is typically $2,000 per piece.  For more than 4 works, the price per piece can go down.

As original art to hang on your wall (interior):

I’m currently working on designs and prototypes to make this happen, but would be more than happy to discuss creating one for you.  Sizes would start at 11”x14” and prices would start at $3,000.

Okay, I want to commission some interactive art!  How do I do that?

Shoot me an email with as many details about your project as possible!  Email me here.

How do I commission a regular mural?

I LOVE creating murals!  See above for general commissioned art info and pricing schedule.  Murals are a minimum of $5,000, but the price can vary greatly due to size, wall surface, design complexity, and more.  I do travel for murals, travel fees would apply.

I have a simple form you can fill out to start the process here.

Where can I buy your book?

“Pull Me Apart” is available online through my publisher, Poposition Press.  And yes, they do ship internationally.  You can buy a copy here.

I currently have copies for sale at Marquee in River Arts District, Asheville, North Carolina, USA.

Where can I see your art in person?

I have a wall of my art, interactive wall art, prints, and my books at Marquee in River Arts District, Asheville, North Carolina, USA.

I used to have a working space and art for sale at 310 Art in River Arts District, but Hurricane Helene completely flooded and destroyed that gallery and the entire building, along with many other buildings in the River Arts District.  I plan to have a public studio/display space in River Arts District again soon!

Can you tell me more about you?

I have a biography, resume, press links, short documentaries, and more on my website’s ‘About’ page here.
