She's got the spirit of the forest in her. The leaves are from the native Beech trees. The original is 20"x30" watercolor. Realistic, tight details were painted in her eyes, nose, and mouth, while the rest of the portrait is a crisp white allowing the leaves their full presence. The background was painted with multiple layers using wet-on-very-wet techniques to allow beautiful natural watercolor blooms and color play.
