Accepting Growth - print
Just when you think something will break you, there is hope. This woman closes her eyes, trusting that she will get through adversity. She trusts herself and her strength, and is able to grow through difficult times. The mushrooms represent that hope and growth.
The original of this lady was created entirely with watercolor, 18"x24". The figure was painted monochromatically- all with one color: cascade green. It's a magical color because as it dries it granulates and separates into blues and greens. She has fine details painted in her eyes, lips, and gorgeous hair and braids. The mushrooms are painted with multiple colors, coming to life right out of her skin.
Like fungus that springs up in unexpected corners of the forest, she represents a woman who is growing through harsh times.
She's sure to bring some strength, beauty, and nature into your home.
